Phihong USA has introduced a 33.6-watt, single-port Power-over-Ethernet adapter that meets power specifications released in draft 3.0 of the IEEE802.3at that was approved for ballot at the end of March. The POE36U, a high-power, single-port injector provides up to 33.6W of power on a single Ethernet port, making it suitable for IP telephones, wireless network access points, BlueTooth access points, access controls, security cameras, IP print servers and biometric sensors. This device is designed with the protocol required for Cisco AP1250 series access points to run in full power mode. The POE36U provides fully compliant detection, disconnect and voltage control.
