Debugging Common DDR 1/2/3 Physical and Protocol Layer Issues

What: The speed of DDR (Double Data Rate) memory technology has increased tremendously in the last few years. The latest DDR3 technology is operating at 1.6GT/s and at the same time, the signal voltage has decreased to reduce power consumption. The faster and smaller signals are now more susceptible to error and data corruption which post new challenges for reliable system operation. This presentation outlines the validation challenges engineers face today and describes some of the new probing solutions and tools for DDR parametric and protocol validation that will help you overcome test challenges. It also highlights some of the debugging methods for common failures on the DDR memory interface with oscilloscope and logic analyzer.

When: June 5, 2008, 10am PST -- One hour presentation

National Standards Authority Of Ireland Announces \Medical Device Directive Webinars

The National Standards Authority of Ireland, one of the nation's leading certification/notified bodies for medical devices, will be holding a series of webinars discussing the upcoming changes to the European Medical Device Directive. These changes, which will take effect in 2010, require companies to start taking action now, otherwise risk having their devices banned from the European Market.
The webinars will center around the New Medical Device Directive 2007/47/EC, which was approved in September of last year. There are a number of areas where there are significant changes including how companies need to acquire clinical data on their products, what types of items are classified as medical devices, and what companies need to do to monitor their devices once they go into the market.

The webinars will take place on May  28, June 11 & 18. All webinars start at 2:00 pm Eastern and cost $49.00 per location.
